Music for the Myths for a New Millennium series was composed and performed by Celtic musicians T.H. Gillespie and L.E. McCullough and choreographed by former Martha Graham dancer/dance instructor David Hochoy, artistic director of Dance Kaleidoscope, one of America’s premier modern dance companies.

Based on an 8th-century Irish adventure legend adapted by McCullough, Connaloi’s Tale:  The Woman Who Danced on Waves is a compelling emotional response to a violent and uncaring world — a poignant love story and a penetrating portrait of a young man’s bonds with his father.

The Healing Cup: Guinevere Seeks the Grail merges traditional Irish music, Arthurian folklore and modern synthesizer sounds to explore the medieval tale of the Holy Grail in a contemporary cultural context.

Skin Walkers:  The Incredible Voyage of Mael the Lotus Eater is the most musically eclectic and wide-ranging of the three suites, containing elements of Irish, Middle Eastern, Latin, Asian, jazz and rock styles. The constantly “shape-shifting” musical structure is matched by the choreography’s free-flowing pace and fluctuating mood swings.

A CELTIC CHRISTMAS

Four top musicians blend their talents to produce a unique Christmas recording in traditional Celtic style. Featured are Scots bagpipe virtuoso George Balderose, ragtime guitar legend Ernie Hawkins, Irish tinwhistle master L.E. McCullough and jazz keyboard ace T.H. Gillespie. The result — a warm, gentle garland of Yuletide and Irish & Scots tunes guaranteed to drive the winter chill from your door!
